Nara Collins is an average sixteen-year-old, with one exception: every night she dreams the events of the following day. Due to an incident in her past, Nara avoids using her special gift to change fate…until she dreams a future she can’t ignore.

After Nara prevents a bombing at Blue Ridge High, her ability to see the future starts to fade, while people at school are suddenly being injured at an unusually high rate.

Grappling with her diminishing powers and the need to prevent another disaster, Nara meets Ethan Harris, a mysterious loner who seems to understand her better than anyone. Ethan and Nara forge an irresistible connection, but as their relationship heats up, so do her questions about his dark past.
I absolutely loved this book! Isn't the cover gorgeous? It pulled me right in from the start and actually got me out of a reading slump. I loved the whole idea of Nara seeing her future playing out in her dreams every night and then the dreams suddenly stopping. It was an adventure to follow Nara as she tries to live a normal life while her dreams are missing. She has always just kind of floated through life knowing the answers to tests, knowing what will happen during her soccer games and when to avoid conflicts with friends. Suddenly, making her own fate is actually kind of scary to her.

From the moment Nara meets Ethan I was smitten with him. He is such an amazing character and the two have wonderful chemistry together. They balance each other out in all aspects of their lives. The connect on such an amazing level and he evens understands her secrets. Ethan is this dark, mysterious  kind of guy who has his own secrets. I have some sneaking suspicions about Ethan, but won't know if any of them are true until the next book.

I actually really liked that Nara wasn't too quick to proclaim her love for Ethan, their relationship built gradually and she actually had a hard time saying "I love you". The hurt from her father leaving her as a child sort of built a barrier in her heart and it takes time for her to be able to speak her emotions even though she had been feeling them for a while. Their relationship didn't feel rushed or fake - it progressed perfectly. Their glances at each other, small touches and even the littlest comments spoke volumes about their true feelings - it makes me relive all the moments of new love - what a wonderful feeling.

Tempting fate has never been so terrifying and exciting at the same time. Just remember - to every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Can changing things in her dreams cause peoples destinies to change as well?

Twists and turns will have you guessing what will happen next. I cannot wait to see what happens in the next novel - I need more of Nara and Ethan! I definitely wanted more of this story when I reached the end. PT Michelle is now one of my favourite new authors.
