Witch Way To Turn really does have you wondering which way Breena is headed on so many levels in this book. Between the love triangle she finds herself tangled in and the different levels of danger and misadventure you never know what is going to happen next. Breena starts off as a teenager trying to make a better life for herself and her sister by working full time, going to night school to better her life and looking out for her foster sister as best she can. She has had enough hardship in her world to last a lifetime and it just gets more complicated as the story goes on. Breena has grown up in foster care her whole life and is tired of the bad situations the life has dealt her, little does she know she's had a bit of a guardian angel watching over her the entire time.
Breena's life gets complicated when she meets Orin, a smoking hot soul sucker, and her existing friend/possible love interest, Myles gets jealous. From this point on she is stuck in a love triangle between the two - the drool worthy boy next door vampire or the drop dead sexy preternatural soul eater. What's a girl to do? She has feelings for both but who will she ultimately choose?
And on top of the mess her love life is in, Breena still has a head on her shoulders when it comes to protecting her little sister. She means the world to her and it totally shows throughout this story - she is fiercely loyal, protective and sassy. I love the secret language that she and Jenny have made, it totally shows how much they love each other and how important family is. I guess finding out you are a halfling with magical abilities can have it's perks.
The one character I'm really eager to learn more about is Jenny. I am certain that she has quite a story of her own to tell considering some of the things that happen to her. I'm looking forward to seeing where this story goes next.

About the author:
Karen Y. Bynum is an author of young adult paranormal fantasy. Her novel Witch Way to Turn is published through Lyrical Press. She grew up in Hickory, North Carolina where mountains and magic surrounded her. Even as a child, she wrote her own faery tales and prattled incessantly to her imaginary friends.
After graduating from UNC Charlotte with a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Media Communications, she went on to become certified in culinary arts from The Art Institute of Charlotte. But it wasn’t until her aerospace engineer husband accepted a job in Virginia and they relocated that she knew what she wanted to be when she grew up.
With the support of family and friends, Karen embarked on a journey with the voices in her head. They wouldn’t stop talking (yes, she does answer back) and their stories took shape.
Karen currently lives in coastal Virginia and enjoys reading, tweeting, writing and spending time with her husband and their spoiled rotten Vizsla named Rusty.
