While reading one of my review books this past week I realized that I needed to change up how I go about this whole reading/reviewing process.
Here are my general observations of my current style of reading/reviewing:
-if ebook, I tend to highlight the odd passage or bookmark a page
-if paperback, I tend to just read through the entire book without taking notes or marking pages
-then I stumble for a bit trying to wrap my brain around what I was thinking while reading and what I want to say in my review
And here is what I'm realizing might just be the better way to complete this without stressing out:
I can use them as bookmarks AND write notes on them. I used to use them to mark my pages ages ago, but fell out of the habit. I think this just might be the best way to keep track of my thoughts, mark pages or quotes, and keep me organized. I want to better my review writing process... I know some of my reviews are much better than others and I want to up the level of consistency when I write, so this just might be the best way to get thoughts on paper.
Do you keep notes/mark pages while reading review books?
